🌐 Upgraded Livestream Experience on Mobile

As we highlighted in last month's Creator Webinar, our livestreaming feature offers creators an efficient way to monetize while building deeper, real-time connections with their fans.

Explore the improvements and changes we've made to enhance the mobile livestreaming experience for both creators and fans:

For Creators

4 Ways to Start Your Livestream on Mobile:

1. + Icon on the main navigation bar at the bottom of your screen
2. "Go Live" button located directly below the "Edit Profile" button on your profile
3. "Start Livestream" button in the full navigation bar (upper right corner of the bottom navigation bar)
4. "Go Live" button accessible from the "Watch Streams" section in the full navigation bar

Setting Up Your Livestream:

1. Configure your stream details: Click the pencil + notepad icon to edit your livestream's title, description, and setup details. You can also choose whether your livestream will be paid or free.
2. Save your settings: Once you've added all details, click "Save."
3. Select latency preference: You'll be prompted to choose your stream's latency setting. The default "Low Latency" option is recommended for most livestreams as it eliminates potential lag and buffering issues.
4. Future convenience: Your stream settings will be automatically saved for next time. To make future changes, access Action Panel (three dots in the lower right corner) ▶️ Latency Settings.

Key Livestreaming Features:

• Action Panel: Your central hub for fine-tuning livestream settings
• Open Chat: Send livestream comments and view fans who have tipped during your stream
• Livestream Setup: Modify your settings anytime during your stream
• Input Devices: Adjust your device settings as needed
• Latency Settings: Modify your latency preferences on the fly

During Your Livestream:

• Monitor your stream: View your stream status, uptime, and viewer count at the top of your screen
• Check chat connection: Look for the green dot and "Connected to Chat" message in the bottom left corner (above the "End Live" button) to confirm your chat is active for real-time fan interaction
• End your stream: Click the "End Live" button when you're ready to finish

For Fans

Discovering Livestreams:

• Browse active streams: View all currently live streams on the "Watch Streams" page
• Direct access: Click into livestreams directly from any creator's profile

Purchasing Livestreams:

• Paid livestreams: When creators add a paywall, you'll only see the livestream title initially
• Pay-to-View: One-time fee grants access to the entire broadcast. You can exit and rejoin the same stream without additional charges
• Pay-per-Minute: Each time you exit and return to the stream, a new transaction is required

Interacting During Livestreams:

• Free commenting: Leave comments at no cost once you've accessed a paid or free livestream
• Send tips: Tip creators during streams
• Tip visibility: Both creators and fans can see who sent tips and the tip amounts

Fan Action Panel Features:

• Stream controls: Pause livestreams, view in full-screen mode, hide/show overlay, and set preferred tip amounts
• Stream details: Click the arrow button (upper right corner) to view complete stream information (title and description)
• Message management: Delete your own messages by clicking on them in the livestream and selecting "Delete"
• Landscape mode: Rotate your phone to enjoy livestreams in full landscape orientation
